While already specialised in high-tech solutions for the drone-assisted inspection of wind turbine generators, TOPseven is now actively researching into a solution for the visual inspection of photovoltaic installations.

AI-based software solution

The experience TOPseven has gained in the wind energy sector can be transferred, in modified form, to the inspection of PV farms.

The drones equipped with our AI-based software solutions make possible groundbreakingly efficient and detailed inspections of photovoltaic installations.

An AI-controlled camera provides complete recordings. Damage found is recorded with exact position data in the TOPseven software and is available to the customer during the subsequent inspection analysis.

Geo-referenced inspection

In particular in large open PV farms or PV farms in areas that are difficult to access, such as floating PV farms, our drones equipped with a thermal imaging camera and a visual camera can undertake the inspection with geo-referencing and therefore more accurately than traditional methods.

What is more: you can identify different types of damage, e.g. cracks, fractures, soiling, shading, that is structural damage on the individual solar modules.

This technology makes it possible to detect any loss of power at an early stage and react more quickly to the problem and therefore ensure the efficiency of the complete PV installation. And here is where we at TOPseven come in with our vision: MAKING DRONES SMARTER.
