TOPseven is receiving a grant of 4.8 million euros from the German state of Lower Saxony. The Minister for Economic Affairs commented personally that TOPseven is looking at the drone-assisted infrastructure analysis of bridges, ships and wind turbine generators; this is a “highly innovative approach”. He expects the project will “really promote” the region; this is a “great project that we also want to assist financially”. It is also his opinion that, over the long-term, the project will also have a “very positive effect, not just for Ostfriesland, but also Germany”.
