Research project for the automated detection of structural anomalies
TOPseven is specialised in globally patented high-tech solutions and the development of AI-based navigation and analysis software as well as special sensor technology. Using these developments we can also inspect larger infrastructure in its entirety, and that down to the size of a human hair. This project will lead our technology into a new dimension and revolutionise infrastructure monitoring and inspection.
To further develop and research the technological limits of our basic technology, among other measures we have been able to partner with a highly innovative research project supported by the state of Lower Saxony with 4.8 million euros. Our goal is the development of a new, automated drone with AI-based control independent of GPS as well as AI-based automatic analysis of the enormous amounts of data for the automatic detection of structural anomalies.
The Minister for Economic Affairs of Lower Saxony, Dr. Bernd Althusmann, justified this unusually high grant personally during the presentation of the assessment: “The project is looking at the drone-assisted infrastructure analysis of bridges, ships and wind turbine generators; this is a highly innovative approach”.
